You must have previous experience, able to lift kilos and because each item is different be able to work out the best way to pack each individual part.

Ink Room Auxiliary Assistant

£18,000 per annum

Our Loughborough based client is recruiting for an Ink Room Auxiliary Assistant to assist the solvent ink room with day to day tasks.

Minimum Job requirements

  • To be able to function in a flexible and multi-skill capacity
  • To manage stock control of inks and solvents
  • To organise and fulfill stock deliveries according to schedules
  • To communicate and co-ordinate transport logistics
  • To manage recycling of the ink returns to optimise re-use
  • To be competent in manual handling skills, capable of moving and lifting moderate loads with appropriate levels of personal fitness to meet these requirements, including competency in the use of additional mechanical handling equipment.
  • Numeracy and literacy is required to support tasks within the role.
  • General communication and liaison skills are required, together with waste management skills.
  • General cleaning duties including but not restricted to, ink containers, machine equipment etc.
  • Maintain cleaning schedules for the working environment and department ancillary equipment.
  • Edge colouring of printed reels.
  • Making up of ink wet samples for the ink room library.
  • Standard role library housekeeping and maintenance.
  • A good aspect of colour appreciation is essential.

The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Thursday 1pm - 10pm. Going forward this will change to a double shift pattern Monday to Thursday 6am - 1pm, Friday 6am - 2pm. Monday to Thursday 1pm - 10pm

This role would suit an experienced joiner with good “hands on” skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities and Duties

Understanding and working to technical drawings and produce a high spec finish.

Bench Joinery - General Joinery - Preparation work • You will use a range of joinery hand tools, portable machinery (drills, sanders, routers), and assemble joinery items, which could involve manual handling. • Undertake supervised minor works to facilitate the above duties • Comply with all Health & Safety Policies and Procedures • Ensure as far as reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of the jobholder and others likely to be affected by their actions • Work in a team alongside all other operatives

Wood/ Routing Machinist

Experienced Wood/Routing Operator/Machinist, required for prestigious Company based in Shepshed.

This role would ideally suit someone who understands technical drawings, has good work ethics and willing to lean.

Pattern making knowledge and experience working with composites and wood would be an advantage.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Planning jobs following detailed technical drawings
  • Selecting the right type of wood for a particular product
  • Working out the amount of timber needed
  • Cutting and shaping timber, using tools like saws, planes and routers
  • Cleaning workshop tools and servicing equipment
  • Using computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment
  • Using computer aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) methods
