The Recruitment and Employment Confederation are the main representative body for our industry in the UK.  They have their own exacting code of conduct and additionally offer an independent audit service for member companies for compliance with this code and with the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003.  This will, of course, be extended after 1 October 2011 to cover the new Agency Workers Regulations.

The REC keep their member companies fully up to date with all matters relating to the provision of Temporary and Permanent staff and are themselves fully active with government and other bodies in the drafting of new legislation and establishing good industry practice.
